Film, TV & a good book is a good escape from the madness of the world. I was an Arsenal supporter before it was cool to be one. I lie it's always been cool to be a Gooner

If you hate fascism then the second one but if you hate the Left then the first

I was happy with Legacy ending it tbh. It had a kicking soundtrack and the visuals were spot on. I think it proved that although it had old fans it didn't really appeal to new ones

I was looking forward to it for all of 9 seconds until I saw who was starring in it. I'm not sure there are enough Tron fans to make it a hit especially as by all accounts it's a stinker

£12 for a glass of £4 bottle of wine. No wonder no-one goes out drinking anymore

I can't think of anything better and will gladly devote myself to this cause

it’s our moral duty to bully disney into rereleasing it so it can flop twice

It's not the science one either

The BBC just can’t stop wasting licence fee payers’ money.
randomronil.bsky.social
Fucking hell how was the that allowed?

I did like Legacy and tbf both previous Tron films made money. I'm gutted this one's a donkey and will mark the end of this franchise

in 1982, visionary creators made 'tron', which would go down in history as 'a film that wasn't very good'. in 2010 'tron' was revived in tron legacy, which gave fans what they wanted: another film that wasn't very good. today we have tron ares, and it is sticking rigidly to the famed 'tron' formula.

"He was a consummate actor. He knew what was required & he knew he could deliver it. He stuck acting in his back pocket & behaved like a human being. He was a total actor because he was a total person."
Mel Brooks on John Candy

I cannot conceive of a better tribute than 'John Candy: I Like Me'.
A bruised-yet-smiling John Candy gives the perfect full-stop to his Oscar-worthy performance as Del Griffith in the final moments of "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" (1987). And I don't use the Oscar mention lightly. I've always believed that, were he still with us, he'd already have won one for an incredible performance in a more serious role.

How to make a perfect Saturday supermarket experience 🤔

Lack of patience in everyone parking their car ✅
Attended by half of everyone that ever existed on the planet ✅
Inconsiderate shoppers leaving trollies blocking aisles whilst they peruse items far away ✅
Several tills shut ✅

Haha that's even funnier, he was trying to win something that had already closed nominations

I love how this album has divided that community. It's not even that they don't like it, the way it was sold to them was such a blatant cash grab. I read someone say that when they tweeted criticism of it they weren't instantly bombarded by death threats which they previously would've been

Ok I looked into this and there were some bangers that year. I only really paid attention to Turtle Power at the time
