I'd really appreciate if writers these days took a look at their characters doing therapyspeak and whether that's appropriate for their work and their world.

By "therapyspeak" I mean speaking like this: "This is the emotion I'm feeling, and feeling that emotion makes me want to act in a way"

A lot of people dont want the term "victim" to follow them all their lives. Victim is a passive role. Survivor can imply an active role in clawing your life back after something was done to you.

Also it's easy to explain why taboo and obviously risky and dangerous stuff can be arousing and pleasant as a fantasy.
Ask yourself why people go and willingly pay their money to get into a machine that imitates the free fall off a huge cliff?
Yeah I'm talking theme parks. And tycoons.
