It makes me happy that I’m the teacher students came to when they wanted to form a book club. The ones who asked haven’t even had me yet so they approached a stranger with their ideas and now it’s a weekly thing where they come and read and talk about their books.

I knew that, if I logged in and saw the results there, I’d have to deal with them on my own without her input and guidance.

Three ... I think, maybe four? of my friends also had to have MRIs. Mine was just obvious enough on the ultrasound, I guess.

My novel’s a contemporary thriller. I also kind of accidentally started a memoir/nonfiction help guide that I’d been thinking about for a while and I guess it decided it was time. 😆 At least that one’s not my other usual genre of true crime?

I have no time sense so there are clocks in every room, which is fine until the battery on one runs down and seriously throws me off because huh I could swear it was later than that but it’s not like a clock’s going to lie to me.

Considering my family history, I opted to start just to be sure. Unfortunately, we were quickly sure that I had breast cancer. On the plus side, I was surrounded by all kinds of support.

Hah not sure how weird this is out of context but:

He could divide the pants between the men, and add the skirts and dresses together and divide them among the women, leaving the shirts to fall where they may, but the numbers weren’t equal.

I’ve written every day so far (shhh yes I know it’s only day four) and I’m starting to figure out my characters a bit more. I haven’t written much (barely at all) since my cancer diagnosis this past spring so I’m thrilled to have as many words as I do.
