Publishing is exhausting. I genuinely haven’t ever had something kill my writing motivation as much as trying to publish. Do I regret this? No, but ouchie 😭 I feel like most folks see publishing as exciting, but I think when my publication date rolls around im just gonna be relieved it’s over lmao

I’m glad I decided to go thru the whole publishing process for my novella (as opposed to just posting it online) prior to my debut novel because I’ve been stumbling and tripping my way through this entire process 😂

Read that number again. Only 43 families in a school with 160,000 students.

Even if we're generous with the number of kids these families have, that number still pales in comparison to how many families had NO issue with LGBTQ+ education.

We outnumber them. Stand strong.

Now, in Montgomery County, Maryland, where the case originated, the results are in.

Only 43 families out of 160,000 students have exercised that new right.

OF A DOUBT
Líadan stared down at Casca as his chest slowly rose and fell. A bumblebee breezed above his head, legs brushing against his ear, causing it to twitch and swivel.
Casca opened one eye and lazily swatted at the bee, and then yawned, revealing a toothless maw. The corner of Liadan's mouth twitched up, and she gave the shadowkat a scratch between the ears. He was surprisingly solid for a creature made of shadows. Small black tendrils twirled around her fingers as she pet him.
He bunted his head against her hand, purring loudly.
FUN FACT
Casca the Shadowkat is based off of my very own toothless shadow, Livia. She had severe stomatitis as a kitten so had all of her teeth removed and has lived happily toothless and pain free ever since! I love her little muppets mouth when she yawns, so I just had to include a Casca yawn.
