I kind of like it because it does something that good comics often do. It takes this strange world and uses it as a device to explore the characters.

I would have liked there to be more relevant plot than wasn't just setup for future DC stories, but I still liked it overall.

I am fine with them remaining apart for a good long while. I want to see the Bucks lose their allies one by one and be forced to fight guys like Okada and the Calis family alone.

See, I put Marvel Dracula above Bram Stokers Dracula because Marvel Dracula fought Silver Surfer and built a castle on the moon.

The most terrifying thing to the rich is giving the poor the idea that the rich can actually be held accountable.

If they prosecute Trump, then maybe all of them can also be prosecuted for their crimes.

The thing that's weird to me is how much GOP senators and congressmen are just like "Yeah, I am fine with kowtowing and licking the boots of the dumbest man on the planet for the rest of my life and eradicating all the systems that gave ME power in this society."

After spending 43 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit, evidence hidden by the prosecution reversed his conviction. Rather than finally enjoying freedom, ICE abducted him for deportation

Depraved.

LLMs are doubly deceptive. Most people think that they can ask it a question and get an answer. The majority of the rest think that you can ask an LLM a question and it will return what an answer might look like, statistically.

But it's actually even worse. It doesn't "read" the prompt; it guesses.

I can't lie, I actually liked this season, but I totally agree with everything you said.

The whole thing feels like setup for something that's coming.

The meat of the show was the characters' emotional growth but at the expense of having no real plot.

That said, I liked the characters a lot.

Every comic cover since has been trying and failing to reach the heights glimpsed by this Carmine Infantino cover for Flash #133 in 1962. You may not like it but this is what peak performance looks like
Flash being turned into a puppet while thinking "I've got the strangest feeling I'm being turned into a PUPPET!". FUN FACT: it is impossible to see this cover and not want to see more

"I've got the strangest feeling I'm being turned into a puppet" is fucking poetry.

They sold LLMs to corporations as a way to eradicate the need for workers, and they rabidly invested without thinking about the logistics involved.

Meanwhile, LLMs are just "Blockchain 2.0." A thing that has limited legitimate uses that tech companies are trying to turn into an everything machine.

This piece is about how the author thinks Bari is a brilliant journalist, and how people who think otherwise simply have derangement syndrome. About halfway through, the author mentions that Bari, her wife, and her sister are close personal friends.

The only correct take on a fundamentally anti-human technology.
Screenshot of David Simon interview
SHAPIRO: OK, so you've spent your career creating television without Al, and I could imagine today you thinking, boy, I wish I had had that tool to solve those thorny problems...
SIMON: What?
SHAPIRO: ...Or saying...
SIMON: You imagine that?
SHAPIRO: ...Boy, if that had existed, it would have screwed me over.
SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.

A lot of people compare it to nWo but I always see it as them doing a modern take on the Heenan Family.

One guy managing a bunch of disparate wrestlers in a loose alliance. Really, Heenan was there to be a corner guy for whomever was the big bad at the time. Along with like 3 other managers usually

I really don't think it's a new thing. I mean, Satanic Panic was the same thing.

We just have a media environment designed to entrap people in fear designed to keep them engaged. When all you hear is how many people got shot yesterday, how can you not think everything is unsafe?

Still think Antifa isn't violent? Here's bodycam footage of Antifa founder B.J. Blazkowicz shooting a heroic member of ICE who was just trying to protect this great nation. Thank God we have Blazkowicz's girlfriend in custody.
