#ShowMeYourKnits 🧶 Liv wants to see spooky knits this week. I don't really subscribe to the whole Halloween thing, so didn't think I had anything to offer. Then I remembered my Deep in the Forest Mittens, which do look rather mysterious. Noro Kuryeon Sock for the background, cream alpaca for trees.

The trees are knit in cream alpaca from very deep stash; the background is Noro Kureyon Sock yarn in shades of blues, greens, orange and purple. The mittens have a Latvian braid on the narrow cuff. Due to the nature of the colourchange background yarn, the mittens are fraternal rather than matching, showing blue through purple, green and turquoise on one mitten, and turquoise, green, lime green orange and purple on the other.

After a drizzling morning, it’s brightening up. The poor crofters brought the cattle to the pens for testing. Neither the weather nor the mooing discouraged the #hens though. #uist

A tortoiseshell cat sleeps on a stool and outside the garden and loch are misty and wet.

Through a salt spattered window a line of Aberdeen Angus cattle files into the pen beyond my gate.
