The outrage over ICE 'kidnapping' people who are in the U.S. legally is understandable. But there needs to be similar outrage for people whose status is unknown. Nobody deserves to be kidnapped. Everyone deserves due process.

Lifetimes ago as a student at Yale, I made lucky friends with Zhanna, a breathtakingly intelligent girl from Kazakhstan – a country to which I could barely point on the map. We stayed in close touch - so much that I befriended her lovely family when I found myself, later, reporting in Astana. 1/

Just a suggestion but have you tried your local parkrun? It's a real community event and You see the same faces turning up each week and eventually become part of a pack. And there's usually coffee after. Parkrun.ie

What an incredible experience, getting to perform at the Riyadh Comedy Festival. I left feeling grateful and humbled by his majesty's generosity. I'll never forget this memorial experience and all the fun we had. Hope to do it again soon.

upon further reflection, there is a small part of me that feels I sent the wrong message, regarding the Riyahd Comedy Festival last night. While, I do think it's important for comedy to have the opportunity to thrive in all parts of the globe, there are some aspects of The Royal Highness, King Salmon and his leadership in the region that i don't agree with entirely, but it's a different culture when it comes to freedom and rights and I gotta respect that we are all different and have different values. My manager is now investigating the possibility of donating some of my fee to a charity for Vetrans of War.

Smear the Bejaysus (for Catherine Connolly) They say she's wild for calling out the killing of the weak, for naming genocide aloud
in chambers cold and sleek. They call it reckless, rude, unwise, to grieve for Gaza's dead, and whisper she'd disgrace the State
by meaning what she said. They claim she'd bring the Áras down with candles, care, and song, that she would ask of Ireland still,
who's served and who's done wrong. They mutter she might shake the hand of refugees or knaves, and never bow to uniforms
that sanctify the graves. They'll smear the bejaysus out of her, for mercy is her crime, for daring to be decent now
in this unfeeling time. They'll sneer she's ruled by conscience yet, speaks truth before she's told, that her plain heart has no disguise,
but that's worth more than gold.
