The most stressed out I've ever been about Christmas was when I was 16 and I got my first ever job, working at M&S in Dundrum. As soon as I started I kept hearing these myths about the Christmas Eve Waste Sale, where all the food that wasn't sold on the 24th was marked down 90%.

My brother-in-law and his wife are coming over from the States with their new baby soon so I picked up a pram for them on the neighborhood WhatsApp yesterday.
Completely forgot about it & almost had a heart attack when I saw it this morning. Briefly thought my fiancée was doing a cute reveal.

Again, I'm reminded of the time that I went into the student bar at UCD when the Young FF society were having some sort of event and, in my memory, they all just turned to look at me, simultaneously, silently and unblinking, until I slowly backed out.

I'm reminded of this scene I wrote in Darth Vader, which is born of me pitching "Okay - the reason Droids don't generally beat humans in Star Wars is they don't have blood, as that's where midichlorians are. So, how about syringe-powered vampire robots?" and (rightfully) being told no, kieron, no.

I don't think we appreciated what a landmark this was for representation in cartoons.
As someone who also lives with an angry, vengeful monster where my stomach should be, this was huge.
