The most stressed out I've ever been about Christmas was when I was 16 and I got my first ever job, working at M&S in Dundrum. As soon as I started I kept hearing these myths about the Christmas Eve Waste Sale, where all the food that wasn't sold on the 24th was marked down 90%.

Spotify offered this DJ mode thing and I was like "cool" but then it started speaking to me and, long story short, does anyone know how to remove a smartphone sized dent in wall plaster?

Naoise's brother is asking Irish people to please contact the government #Speirgorm
My sister @NaoiseDolan, alongside other members of the Thousand Madleens flotilla, has been abducted by Israeli forces while on a humanitarian mission to break the illegal siege and deliver aid to Gaza.
Please join me in urging the Irish government to demand their safe return.

My brother-in-law and his wife are coming over from the States with their new baby soon so I picked up a pram for them on the neighborhood WhatsApp yesterday.
Completely forgot about it & almost had a heart attack when I saw it this morning. Briefly thought my fiancée was doing a cute reveal.

One day, when I am far enough away from the event that thinking about it no longer causes me psychic damage, I will talk about how I tried to describe the thread to an increasingly confused Dr. Marie Cassidy, former Sate Pathologist.

I migrated the thread over here and It's my pinned post. Maybe wait until Christmas though.

Again, I'm reminded of the time that I went into the student bar at UCD when the Young FF society were having some sort of event and, in my memory, they all just turned to look at me, simultaneously, silently and unblinking, until I slowly backed out.

I can believe that young people need to be more active in politics *while also* thinking that everyone I've ever met from the youth wing of a major political party was a weird freak.

I got drunk on two bottles of wine, wrote a rambling thread about getting a cheap turkey from M&S at Christmas which led to me, amongst other things, getting an agent and a book deal.

I write full time largely because of one thread about getting high with the Irish president. As cringe as it is to admit, my entire life has been massively enhanced by Twitter and ketamine over precisely the same time that those two things have proven less beneficial for Elon Musk.

I feel like most Irish and British writers who complain about being silenced have never done anything as brave as what Naoise has done here

I'm reminded of this scene I wrote in Darth Vader, which is born of me pitching "Okay - the reason Droids don't generally beat humans in Star Wars is they don't have blood, as that's where midichlorians are. So, how about syringe-powered vampire robots?" and (rightfully) being told no, kieron, no.
Page from Darth Vader 19, drawn by Salva Larocca. Triple Zero makes a speech to scare the humans attacking teh robots, claiming all the robots are definitely NOT vampires.

It says here that Cuomo is in the Hamptons wearing a light blue polo with visible nipples talking about how Gaza real estate will be hurricane proof.

I'm on the slowest bus line in the city with the slowest buses in the nation to talk to New Yorkers about what it would mean for their lives if we made them fast and free.

I don't think we appreciated what a landmark this was for representation in cartoons.
As someone who also lives with an angry, vengeful monster where my stomach should be, this was huge.

Got to love Dublin. #Speirgorm
Picture of a large junction box on the street at the top of Kildare Street at Stephen’s Green in Dublin, Ireland. On it is painted a very large, angry-looking seagull in front of two wooden gates. Two tiny people, dwarfed by the seagull, appear to be running from it, one on either side of the lower front of the image. The text over the gates reads St Stephen’s Green. The signature in the lower right of the image says M. Fitz 25.
