If Dems win the Supreme Court races in Pennsylvania in 9 days, it’s extremely likely the GOP can’t get a majority on that court until 2029.

The GOP really wants to have this majority during the 2028 presidential race.

Can’t put the stakes any more clearly than that. boltsmag.org/pennsylvania...
Inside the Clunky Elections to Control Pennsylvania's Supreme Court - Bolts
The GOP is making an expensive push to end Democrats’ majority on a court at the center of election lawsuits, sparking a fledging campaign season with little precedent or template.

If only physicians/dentists/etc would regain trust by having visible air cleaners, wearing snug N95 masks, staying home when sick, and asking everyone else to do the same.

Let's all remember this basic fact:

SNAP is administered by the Department of Agriculture because the BENEFIT is keeping commodity prices HIGHER for farmers...

The fact that it's food assistance for people who need it is just a side-effect.

Killing SNAP hurts farmers (again).

A Naperville man was hauled away by federal immigration agents Thursday morning as his two sons watched, the older boy begging them not to hurt his father and tearfully asking for a chance to speak to him before they left.

Trump’s dismantling our anti–human trafficking infrastructure—gutting programs at Homeland Security, the State Department, and USAID—making it much harder to combat global sex trafficking.

Survivors around the world are watching in horror as the systems we built to protect them are torn down.
Interesting that his employer felt no obligation to bring home his remains.
Until states get their acts together, either individually or in associations, we have to assume the worst and protect ourselves: snug N95 masks, HEPA filters, vaxes, hand washing. 🩺🛟🧪💉😷🚰

A new report finds corporations like Kroger and McDonald's are using digital loyalty programs to track your data and potentially charge you more.

It's a tactic known as surveillance pricing.

His immigration policy was the only one of Reagan’s with which I agreed.

It’s POTS awareness day—a blood flow problem common after Covid.

POTS can be subtle—I often wonder how many people who feel rundown, anxious or distracted have this treatable condition.

Main criteria is heart rate going up >30bpm when going from laying down to standing—smthg you can check at home!

For others there’s low blood pressure.
Also common in long covid. And there’s Rx meds to raise your blood pressure.

Hate to tell ya, cankles and hand bruises aren’t that life-threatening. Poor lifestyle at 79 is a bigger threat, but probably will take many years. Not vaxxing would be a major threat, he hated being hosp’d for #covid in 2019 with trouble breathing, so he’s not taking RFK Jr’s advice on that.

70 per cent of our outpatient visits in southern #Gaza are for diseases linked to poor living conditions, as over a million people are still crammed onto a tiny patch of land.

Without urgent improvements, more people will die from preventable causes.
