BBC News: "'Worse than starting from scratch': how big is the task of rebuilding Gaza?"

The situation on the ground for Gazans is dire. They rely on donations to survive.

Please give to my friend Tasneem so she can feed her children and raise funds to flee. And to others. ❤️🙏

20hrs after Thunder Bay police chief Darcy Fleury refused to answer media questions on a CBC piece alleging a new Satan's Choice chapter, TBPS now says there's no evidence.

Why wouldn't you tell us yesterday?

"Yesterday we were here for a purpose, which was the announcement we wanted to make..."

This is a fantastic article I encourage everyone to read.

The damaging effects of COVID on our immune system are not up for debate.

It’s not hypothetical.

And it’s not limited to “only the vulnerable”.

This is why many of us mask. Respirators like an N95 do a great job preventing covid.
‘While SARS-CoV-2 does not cause HIV/AIDS, its ability to induce immune dysfunction—including T cell depletion & dysfunction, increased susceptibility to infection incl opportunistic, accelerated bio aging, neurological, & systemic damage provide parallels... .’

COVID-19 is “Airborne AIDS”: provocative oversimplification, emerging science, or something in between?
COVID-19 caused by SARS-CoV-2 is often compared to other pandemics for its societal and global health impact, with some commentators drawing parallels to HIV/AIDS due to the immune dysfunction caused ...

Sorry to the folks here that I didn't share my book “ By My Ben “published last month, due to BlueSky's obstinacy and its suspension of Palestinian accounts.
But I will share it with you here.❤️

I hope @mommunism.bsky.social will share it too.

My book’s cover About the Author
My name is Joy. I'm a 22-year-old writer from Gaza, currently studying English Literature at the Islamic University of Gaza, which has recently been bombed. I've lived most of my life through war, enduring five conflicts that have stolen my right to live in safety, peace, and love.
I write stories, reflections, and poems. Since I was young, I've been passionate about poetry and literature. Recently, I started my biggest project yet: writing a book documenting everything I've lived through during the ongoing genocide.
I currently live with my mother and four siblings in a shelter, seeking refuge from the constant threat of death due to the violent airstrikes shaking the ground around me. I am my mother's eldest daughter, her close friend, and her supporter (just as she supports me). My father hasn't been with us since we were young; we've always been under our mother's care. I've lost my beautiful, warm home. I've been displaced to over 17 different shelters and locations, each one worse than the last due to the lack of any safe place to go. We face countless struggles, most notably the starvation we endure as part of the siege and strangulation, designed to create a complete cycle of Nazi-like genocide against us.
The Zimi mask is great for lots of breathing space between the filter and one’s face too! I love my Zimis 😅

There’s some fun limited edition Hallowe’en designs now ✨

My publisher’s been very patient. I’m not doing everything I said I’d do to promote this book (out in a few weeks) because I’m an organizer in a city under federal attack. My days are full and emotionally exhausting. Any help getting the word out means a lot. It's a book people need right now.

What is it about tech that gets a pass when it comes to respecting Indigenous rights?

Why is it that the Internet itself depends on trespassing through Indigenous territories yet it's framed as something that we're given access to through some sort of charity?

Why are we never even considered?

I think it really speaks to the lack of hope from which most people are suffering.

Things don’t have to be this way! We can have and deserve better than all of this if we’d just have some courage ✨

I'm back studying Cayuga language full time. This program is not an accredited program, it's community designed and administered, focused intensely on teaching grammar. At the end of the program, there's no diploma, no accredited institute recognition. Just the community knowing you put the time in
