We've been dumping (non-Uncle Ben's) rice from 8kg bags into this Uncle Ben's rice container for nearly a decade and there's nothing Uncle Ben can do to stop us!

Mid-October and the Deedee’s bike rack has finally arrived in #BikeHfx. It’s just in time for ice cream with a jacket season!🍦
A bike corral on an asphalt street. The area surrounding the corral is outlined with a white painted line on the asphalt, and green flex posts marking. A blue e-cargo bike is parked at one of the corrals. A car, some trees, and some houses are in the background.

Removing the bridge toll is is effectively removing a bit of congestion pricing. The result? More congestion. NYC recently implemented a congestion price, found traffic to improve dramatically. We are doing the opposite, and not surprisingly congestion is worse.

“buried in the modelling results” of the LinkNS report is “that even if the government pulled off its fantasy plan, congestion would still get worse.”

“There is simply no plan to keep Halifax moving, but the premier would rather distract you with a bike lane drama to distract from his inaction.”
Deny Sullivan: Halifax bridge toll blunder: Houston’s election gimmick worsens gridlock
The promise to save drivers time is backfiring. The reason? Simple economics.

No. You're not supposed to enter an intersection unless you can clear it.
This is lazy, selfish driving that does nothing but contribute to congestion.

Heads up #BikeHFX , the BLT is closed after the Cranberry Lake Bridge for trail repairs. It looks as though they are grading it and fixing the potholes along that section
A temporary construction fence across a gravel trail hust ahead of a wooden bridge with four signs reading "TRAIL CLOSED FOR EMERGENCY REPAIRS "

Today's prompt: "Lego Spider-Man and Lego Batman bonding over how great gadgets are," requested by Nick & Jen.

Who's old enough to remember these gadgets?

Can't believe I did it. I've been saying for 3 yrs I wanted to do an "ice cream a week" at Dairy Bar & this yr I finally did it. Had 22 ice cream sundaes in 22 wks, & 22 different flavours. Not gonna lie, I'm going to feel a bit lost next week. Thanks for following along w my ice cream adventures! 🍨

I try to get 3:30 dentist appointments for my kid and then take the bus after school.
They get upset that I don't drive down so we can listen to the radio. But I do not enjoy driving in traffic at rush hour and there are bus lanes.
(Personal trip 15 min there and back in protected bike lanes)

At lunch I could grab a cheap slice at Velos or get my haircut at the barbershop (which reeked of weed from the tattoo shop upstairs half the time)

I used to work in that warehouse. There was a pool hall where the letter carriers would go after work, a guy that taught you how to build a wooden kayak, buddy that made clay figurines (Clayton was his name of you believe that), RadStorm, and Halifax Cycles (and guitars)
