Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said Doha is “pushing all” Palestinian groups “to get to a point where they acknowledge that they need to disarm.” He told Ayman Mohyeldin (

) “disarmament” and “decommissioning” are “part of the [ceasefire] agreement.”

He said Hamas has agreed to “give up governance,” so he doesn’t see “that the governance will be a challenge” in next phase discussions.

The “complicated” issue will be the resistance’s arms, he said, but “we need to make sure that the Palestinians are safe and the Israelis are safe… that’s the whole purpose of of the decommissioning and disarmament, and creating a political horizon for the Palestinian people and creating the Palestinian agency that will be able to to be the sole holder of arms.”

The Biden administration’s porous policies worsened the situation, making possible the largest immigration surge in American history, with most of the arrivals lacking legal permission to enter the country. Mr. Trump campaigned on a promise to reverse those policies, and he has an electoral mandate to do so. At the border, he has succeeded at reducing illegal entries to the lowest levels in decades.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.
