New reporting: many apparently fired at CDC in 'error'. This is a failure by design given that the admin does not care about fulfilling agency missions. This is the kind of error that should have political consequences.

Unserious people cause real-world harm.

That’s a good question! I think so? It has a scent for sure but it’s not extra fragrant. I use it for pre-wash soaking—in a plastic tub in my tub overnight, then I rinse a few times *thoroughly* > wring > regular wash cycle. I can’t imagine there’d be any scent leftover by the end of the wash cycle

It works so well you’ll be mad to realize the betrayal that no one’s ever told you about it lol. I couldn’t believe it—a bunch of stuff I was ready to trash (linens, tank tops, a swimsuit even) made to look brand new. And inexpensive like $8 on Amazon

Earlier this year I discovered oxyclean white revive. Seriously incredible product, idk how I’ve lived this long without knowing about it but if you want to whiten whites, highly recommend

This thing can almost always be revived if there’s anything left to work with! But I also suggest bottom watering will help immensely because it’ll hasten new root growth downwards towards the water at the bottom of the pot

It will regrow new roots fast—are there any vines left? This one needs frequent pruning anyway—you can give it a haircut (take a big ol’ scissors and snip it at the soil line). Then lay it atop fresh soil, bottom water + plastic bag + high sun. (Or just try again with a new one if it’s beyond dead)

The other one likes *high* humidity.

Pre-self-watering pots, to revive the small one, I would literally tie a clear plastic bag over it and put it in the brightest spot available.

Give it a good watering, then plastic bag after a couple hrs drying time.

Then ignore it—thrives on neglect lol.

A plant in a white planter with a clear plastic bag apparently suffocating it back to life. If you want to get classy with it, a glass cloche would also work well if you already have one (eg for displaying baked goods) but they are pricey so I might suggest a plastic one if you don’t already own a glass one.

Here’s a typical bundle of file papers from the Boston Municipal Court archives. It probably hasn’t been unwrapped since it was docketed in 1822. The organization of the sub-layers is significant, & I always photograph bundles so that I can put them back together as I found them. I love this work! 🗃️

Makes a big difference also because when you bottom-water, the roots grow downwards to reach the water. I have noticed my plants do better with it (irrespective of the self watering aspect)

What kind of pots do you have them in? The self watering pots has made ALL the difference in the world. I cannot emphasize enough! It’s the perfect cushion for when work/life/ general space cadet-ing gets in the way. These ones like to get hit at least weekly in MA—I imagine more often in TX sun.
