Let me explain: States currently receive a percentage for each medical expense they pay from the federal government (called FMAP). That means they will receive more money if more people are on Medicaid or they utilize more Medicaid covered services. Block grants are pots of money that don't change.

I'd love to know what sort of chairs other folks are using. I'm in the US, my diagnosis is for fibro. Ambulatory. I don't drive and need my chair to be sturdy (bad sidewalks) and easy to put in a car's trunk by myself. My chair is mostly for pain & energy management #disability #disabled #wheelchair

He actually suggested not getting another Ki Mobility chair, because they have funky engineering choices (like the sort of hardware configurations they choose) that make their chairs harder to repair. I definitely want to do more research this time around. #disability #disabled #wheelchair

Tech for the wheelchair is here & apparently my footplate supports are kinda fucked up. The screws are janked & he had to beat it up a bit to get to them. For the record, I have *hated* this foot plate all four years I've had the chair. #disability #disabled #wheelchair
