I was raised Catholic & grew up singing "whatsoever you do for the least of my brothers, that you do unto me." The people I saw in vans with their hands ziptied, people inside ICE Broadview... they are our siblings. Our neighbors. And they are being denied everything, including visits from clergy

Fri thread. I do now know what the patches were, explained further downthread. NIPAS, consortium of local police depts => riot police. A lot of choices made at state & local level to support ICE /DHS. Not knowing this area, I don’t know how much of this is legal, but also laws aren’t real I guess so

I went to Broadview ICE facility again today. They blocked off 25th, a lot of sheriffs police, local cops& Illinois state police. Around noon, riot police w/ weapons, helmets, zip ties came out. All in black & I cannot figure out what this patch says. The word on the bottom is police. Anybody know?

I am honestly unsure at this point if the government will ever open back up in its previous form. The RIFs coupled with what will likely be massive nationwide protests on the 18th is, I think, going to push Miller and co. into trying to create an alternate structure to consolidate more power.
