The Mr.'s grilled herring was ok, he said, not wanting to upset me further imo

We both used a lot of salt & pepper

Within minutes, we had food all over the table because we're just not proficient at using butter knives to cut food in a bowl

We did not order desert

4 minutes after charcuterie bowl arrived, out came entrees 👀 all piled into warm bowls including salads 👀

My grilled shrimp was sautéed, fettuccine cold, soupy salad had giant pieces of onion and three inch long strips of carrot, rind still on squash slice dumped on top

Worst meal of trip so far

We ordered. Our smoked fish platter arrived a few minutes later piled in a ceramic bowl, suboptimal for cutting smoked salmon and cheese. Arriving with the salmon were some of Minnesota's finest flying insects. We used our napkins to cover the charcuterie bowl.

Worst meal of trip so far

We were finally seated, reviewed menu, found it odd they were not serving what they're known for- trout and walleye, and presented with water in dirty glasses and cutlery wrapped in four inch by six inch pieces of cloth, which they called napkins.

Our 20 min wait for seating was 35 min because they seated new arrivals w/ toddlers, pregnant women, and a woman with a fake service dog before us

Drinks from bar could only be drank in 10 x 10 entry crammed with 30 people + new arrivals getting on list, not outside

Multiple airports are now announcing they will refuse to play Kristi Noem’s government-funded video blaming “Democrats” for the government shutdown.

“We believe the Hatch Act clearly prohibits use of public assets for political purposes and messaging,” one airport said.

3/ Soulard Community Improvement District and Soulard Special Business District

Soulard is inching toward taking over Kosciusko nabe per August CID Minutes

😡 Soulard SBD, the tax district that funds unregulated private 🚔 and 📷 hasn't posted Minutes since June

Economic Development Study:

RFP for an economic development study has been finalized by the Board and approved by attorneys. Budget is $150,000.

In the next two weeks, CID will be meeting with the SBA Board and SRG Board to loop in the organizations and take comments.

Part of the RFP includes Kosciusko area because it would be part of the City plan, and it could eventually transform into retail, which would affect Soulard. Because Kosciusko is outside of the CID boundary, the Board plans to ask for a small contribution from the SBA and SRG to fund the part of the RFP that is outside of the CID's boundaries.

Tery and Luke will then meet with our Alderwoman to discuss the RFP and get official support

Bullshit. She chose to identify as someone who would not personally profit from the project she called in to support. It’s a scam. She is a lead on this project. She stands to gain a SIGNIFICANT amount from it and not just $$$. @mbinfpse.bsky.social this material fact invalidates the vote.

Of note, Dvorak hosted the first Armory town hall last night. A city resident asked why she didn't say who she was at the commission meeting. She said she regretted it and didn't know how to identify herself at the meeting due to her part in the Armory project.

A speaker at the STL Public Infrastructure and Utilities meeting tonight says she's a former city resident who works with a company in the city. She gave a very pro data center perspective. Google reveals she's an employee of Steadfast City, a consultant working on the Armory data center proposal.

Ivy Leaf Morning Glory, a bindweed native to tropical US and Mexico but has spread, as weeds do, across the US. They are a pain in the ass for gardeners (try weeding a garden with those vines) and farmers alike with little benefit to wildlife. They still sell seeds for the damn things.
