An Oak tree in full leaf rises behind a footpath gate marking the way to the woods behind the Oak. The foreground contains long grass and thistles ripened by the summer sun hedges at the back of the field split in the middle to reveal a metal footpath gate with a yellow topped post to indicate the way. The trunk of the Oak tree rises behind the gate with the main branches abnnd leaves starting above the hedges other trees can be seen in the background these all form part of the woods at Bascote Heath and the footpath runs alongside the edge of the woods to Ufton, Warwickshire. Partially in focus Borage flower with waterdrops on some of the petals. In the foreground one of the sepals has a large waterdrop at its tip which is magnifying and distorting some of the bristles on the sepal. Two very small waterdrops hang from some bristles at the tip of the sepal.
