My parents hosted a high school exchange student, the son of a Central Asian Cabinet Minister.

The kid loved living in America and when his father came to visit, they made a plan for him to return for college here.

Leaving a semi autocratic state was a big positive even for a Minister's son!

There are reports that the *entire* office of special education at the US Dept of Education has been cut. These hardworking folks ensure kids with disabilities get equal access to a quality education.

America’s children deserve better than this.

Wow — Harvard Crimson student newspaper busts Hegseth for having written a long policy brief touting diversity before he joined Trump’s war on DEI.

With receipts. Bravo, Crimson.

Badenoch and Co see education only as a means to a massive income in some soul destroying career.

Devoid of imagination and the power of knowledge they view life entirely through the prism of the CV.

My advice always is to study what interests you and the rest will follow

"A free education is incompatible with fascism. Education is likely to be one of the great battlegrounds upon which is waged an intense and desperate struggle for power."

This perfectly encapsulates how utterly backwards the USA is right now.
