I wrote a new piece for @truthout.org looking back at 2025 — a year when educators didn’t just endure repression, they built resistance. ✊🏽📚

Education has never been neutral—It either liberates or subjugates.

Here are the stories of those who resisted subjugation.

In 2025, Educators Didn’t Just Endure Repression. They Built Resistance.
The right wants the teaching of history to no longer indict power or inspire resistance. But our side won’t submit.

Spot on @nataliegreenpeer.bsky.social. The system is nothing but a sausage machine. A system designed to reward drudgery and to suppress the individual.

But of course a proper education system would be expensive and not what the establishment wants…

A smarter model for paying for college: income-based repayment. You start paying your student loans only once you earn enough to comfortably get by. That turns higher ed debt into something more like a tax surcharge on success, not a choke collar on people who are struggling.

As the year ends, let me thank public school teachers who, under difficult circumstances, are doing their best to educate our kids.

If this country is to flourish, we need the best education system in the world. Let’s fight for a nation where teachers are well-paid & respected.

1. South Korea invests in education. Way to recycle! Education benefits & improves outcomes.

Perhaps spending more on education, passing the bipartisan immigration bill, we could lead the way again.
