This is Chicago Pastor David Black. Trump’s fascist thugs targeted and then shot him in the head with a pepper bullet because he was praying outside an ICE facility.

Resist this kind of government violence from becoming America’s new normal.

I

I worry
I purse
I #fret
I curse
I smile
I hide
I cry
I chide
I laugh
I shake
I mask
I fake

So no one really understands
I'm a fractured man.

Prediction Error

let the soft earth
of fellow souls
eternally surprise you

be gobsmacked by kindness

fall in love with joy

and dance in amazement—
that music exists
at all

A silvery day
Blowing green rushes in the foreground, silvery water in the mid ground, brown rushes behind which are orange, brown and dark green trees in the distance, all under a grey sky with clouds.

In the morning, mist.
Let tears speak for themselves.
October, breathing.

In 2004, Parisian police were conducting a training exercise in the french catacombs and found, after moving past a desk and a tape playing audio of snarling dogs, a fully functional movie theater and bar. When they returned 3 days later, the equipment was gone, with a note: “Do not try to find us.”
Members of the force's sports squad, responsible
- among other tasks - for policing the 170 miles of tunnels, caves, galleries and catacombs that underlie large parts of Paris, stumbled on the complex while on a training exercise beneath the Palais de Chaillot, across the Seine from the Eiffel Tower.
After entering the network through a drain next to the Trocadero, the officers came across a tarpaulin marked: Building site, No access.
Behind that, a tunnel held a desk and a closed-circuit TV camera set to automatically record images of anyone passing. The mechanism also triggered a tape of dogs barking, "clearly designed to frighten people off," the spokesman said.
Further along, the tunnel opened into a vast 400 sq metre cave some 18m underground, "like an underground amphitheatre, with terraces cut into the rock and chairs". There the police found a full-sized cinema screen, projection equipment, and tapes of a wide variety of films, including 1950s film noir classics and more recent thrillers. None of the films were banned or even offensive, the spokesman said.
A smaller cave next door had been turned into an informal restaurant and bar. "There were bottles of whisky and other spirits behind a bar, tables and chairs, a pressure-cooker for making couscous," the spokesman said.
"The whole thing ran off a professionally installed electricity system and there were at least three phone lines down there."
Three days later, when the police returned accompanied by experts from the French electricity board to see where the power was coming from, the phone and electricity lines had been cut and a note was lying in the middle of the floor: "Do not," it said, "try to find us."

"Blue Sky of Grief"

The dry air mocks me,
Cerulean desert stole
All my tears away.

the slow undoing

what you forget
doesn’t disappear
it sinks-

layer by layer
through the silt of being
until it becomes
the ground you walk on

what passes through

we are not what remains
but what passes through

rain, light, sorrow-
each finds a way in and out

I used to think the self
was a vessel of permanence
now I see it’s a window
briefly catching the sun

when the universe dreams

perhaps the stars
are fragments of thought
the universe forgot to finish

perhaps we are
the half-remembered dream
of something too vast to wake

and when we disappear
it will only be
the dream turning over
to face another dawn

Odd, how Laura Loomer has to speculate about what Hell must be like, whereas anyone who has ever had to spend time with her does not.

the unseen world

beneath what we know
is what we forget-
and beneath that,
the hum of being

a current older than thought
moving through everything

the body, a ripple
the soul, the water
never still
