Sertraline saved my life.

If I may be a presumptuous internet person… one pitfall for me was “workout” drinks like C4.

I was drinking them as a coffee substitute. Those drinks work by, like, opening up the dam in your liver, making your blood absorb more… stuff… that’s… not great when on SSRIs.

For me, the best reason to try anything and everything is to try to illuminate boundaries. If we can’t prosecute these crimes, people need to know that and not wonder about that.

Every battle we lose that is obviously wrongly decided is a pretext for reconstruction.

Drew Struzan was the greatest movie poster artist who ever lived. We can’t think of so many of our most beloved movies without thinking of his art. I had his 1978 Star Wars re-release poster hanging on my wall for years. RIP to a true legend in what is sadly now a mostly lost art form.

D'Angelo was remarkable in so many ways. I'm saddest right now, as a fan, that we won't be getting an eccentric late period from him. His contributions remain inestimable but what he would have made in his 50s and onward, I just know it would have been amazing. RIP

I favor neighborhood events over “march on the statehouse”.

The press can ignore the downtown march and a lot of neighbors won’t go downtown. But your neighbors won’t be able to ignore the crowd by the mall.
