The doc isn’t particularly dramatic or intense because every single person who ever met him loved him. He spent his life being kind and funny and making people happy (including strangers who loved him from his movies).

Maybe a story about kindness and goodness is exactly what we need right now.

That laugh brought me unmeasured joy. His laugh was like a warm blanket made of hugs. It just was pure happiness.

Naturally, I watched the new documentary, John Candy: I Like Me, as soon as I could. And you should too.

When I was 11 years old, my absolute favorite actor in the world was John Candy. I would watch every movie I could get my hands on from Blockbuster.

It didn’t matter if they were good or bad because there was always going to be at least one fantastic John Candy laughing moment.
