ICE makes the CPD look like a bunch of nuns. I hope the Garland/Biden/Obama go-along-to-get-along crowd is happy with the result of their slowrolling and magnanimity. Preserve ICE and DHS, backburner any reasonable consequences for fomenting an actual insurrection. Wouldn't want to rock the boat

I guess I shouldn't be *surprised* but it is making my head spin that the feds have shot two people, with live rounds, killing one of them, in Chicagoland in recent weeks, and in both cases they were very clearly found to be lying about what happened, and essentially nothing is happening about it.

Zero sympathy, but the federal forces are desperate and a lot of those cops are unhappy to be there. Imagine waking up every day and this kind of shit is your job, that you signed up to do. Not too many people are really made for that. They either pull back or lash out

I've never seen such escalation and use of force toward ends I just could not see. There was no real property destruction, no pushing into the neighborhoods to make arrests, very little obstructing of traffic. Saw chemicals and bangs deployed down streets the feds were not facing and did not travel.
