Argentina’s libertarian experiment crashed and burned.

But that’s bad for our president, whose ally implemented those reforms.

So now this.

Meanwhile, we gutted USAID.

The Trump administration confirmed that the U.S. bailed out Argentina.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said he had directly bought Argentine pesos in global currency markets in a bid to relieve pressure on the nation’s embattled President Javier Milei, a supporter of President Trump.

This recognition of the struggle of all Venezuelans is a boost to conclude our task: to conquer Freedom.
We are on the threshold of victory and today, more than ever, we count on President Trump, the people of the United States, the peoples of Latin America, and the democratic nations of the world as our principal allies to achieve Freedom and democracy.
I dedicate this prize to the suffering people of Venezuela and to President Trump for his decisive support of our cause!

Trump has been illegally bombing boats off the coast of Venezuela.

Tim Kaine and Adam Schiff forced a vote on reasserting Congress's role over war powers and ending this reckless
warmongering.

It failed 48-51.

Murkowski and Paul voted yes.

Fetterman voted no.

No clearer indication of the right’s moral rot than the swift evolution from angrily denying any association with buffoonish bigots like like Posobiec and Fuentes, to “there’s no harm in having a conversation,” to openly praising and promoting them.

Of note: This is not surprising, given some of these same actors supported overturning the election results in states Joe Biden won.

Nothing remotely resembling an insurrection is happening anywhere in the country. Any violence associated with protest has been isolated, mild, and, in nearly every case, instigated by federal law enforcement. If we let Trump get away with calling dissent an insurrection, our republic is over.

The thing that most people don't realize is that the deportation machine was already operating at capacity. No one, ever, was just allowing millions of undocumented immigrants into the country willy-nilly. That was mythology. The process to get legal status in this country is already a very high bar

The first numbers in this blew my mind.

ICE made 100k arrests from January to June, which was double the same period last year. The shocking part to me is that it was only double, though. I certainly didn’t know they arrested so many people under Biden.

Federalist Society judge is overseeing the Oregon hearing
gabrielmalor.bsky.social
This was probably the most absurd of Judge Nelson's sarcastic responses to Oregon's argument.

Out of nowhere, he suggested that the president could have made the decision to federalize the NG based on secret info and then suggested that's why the decision should be unreviewable. Crazy stuff.
gabrielmalor.bsky.social
Judge Nelson says the determination is "not all driven by what we see on the streets," suggests that there is behind-the-scenes information that we don't have.

Chaffin: on this record, there was not evidence that sporadic violence was a rebellion to justify federalizing the NG.

A DOJ attorney stated this in court. It would be shocking in any other timeline.
