I’ve got a new flower bed that I’m filling with red-flowering plants and these zinnias have done stupendously well. Can’t wait for next year after the perennials have had a chance to get settled in. 🌱

when my mom was very young, her house got hit by a flood that hit San Antonio.

the Salvation Army wouldn’t let them stay in their shelter unless my grandfather signed a declaration that their home being flooded was Gd’s punishment for their sins.

Happy coming out day. I’m a genderqueer biromantic asexual. Most often this is someone’s punchline or ignored entirely, because people assume I am a woman married to a man.

There’s a lot wrong with that assumption and the effects!

But the worst is usually the way people react to the asexuality.

Asexual does not necessarily mean no sex ever. It absolutely can. It can mean being meh about it, or even enjoying it while not experiencing an impetus to do it.

Hot tip: do not ask a newly out asexual where they fall on this spectrum. If you need to know, they’ll tell you.
