Yeah, its obscene, particularly when you consider that the clinincally vulnerable are far more likely to have lower income and savings levels than average. It's just another tax on being ill.

It was free for diabetics last year. We are sufficiently vulnerable for the annual NHS 'flu jab, but not for the NHS covid jab this year. The medical rationale escapes me - I assume it is to save NHS money. Short term thinking. The only option is private, and the cost is prohibitively high.

Boots also does it, plus some local pharmacies. Boots quoted me £98. At Tesco they gave me clubard points when I paid for it.

For the first time, despite caring for a 96 year old and having diabetes I am not eligible. Got it done privately at Tesco for £90, which hurt financially.
