The war will end when Russia stops fighting. Therefore, pressure has to be put on Russia, so that they stop believing that they will win. Why is that so hard to understand?

For the record, as far as I'm concerned the alternative to juries isn't single-judge courts, but a panel of three judges. The theory is that they cancel out each other's biases. (And that they have to explain their reasoning anyway.)

You can now watch #PrehistoricPlanetIceAge if you have Apple TV. Look out for the killer koalas!

I've watched all the episodes and highly recommend it. My main complaint - the bits at the end featuring the researchers talking the science are way too short!

From woolly mammoths to giant sloths, via some lesser-known ice-age beasts like 'killer koalas', the visuals in this documentary are simply astounding

Having served on a jury in a rape trial, I'd have preferred a judge to decide guilt/innocence than a bunch of people who were sadly incapable of applying any logic to the clear evidence they were presented with and prepared, given their blatant sexism, to see the defence counsel destroy the victim.

Imagine TV News covering this farmer protest - banned, but turned up anyway, grinding capital to a halt - if it were about Palestine or climate change, not inheritance tax. Would they present protesters as heroes? Or showing "I need to get to work" and "me auld mam missed her hip operation" voxpops?
