I'm not holding out hope for that but it is so far resulting in charges being dropped against people they detain like that WGN producer. When you have multiple camera angles disproving their story, it falls apart pretty quickly

St Jerome's actually reached out to Protect RP to get some watchers as people came and went from services. That was the first call I saw this morning and since I live about five blocks from there I headed out. There were at least 50 people by the time I showed up. It was beautiful

You couldn't walk two blocks in the main Rogers Park corridors today without seeing people with whistles on corners. It was beautiful. But please do not photo faces - we don't need to make people targets. School watches scheduled tomorrow morning

We have video of masked agents pulling weapons on neighborhood observers videoing their actions. At least three videos that I know of in Rogers Park/West Ridge and one rapid response team member on a bicycle was detained. As far as we know he's still in custody.

This is why the inflatable costumes are really a genius move. It's really hard to sell your Narrative of "there's war in the streets" when your video footage is of dancing frogs, twerking unicorns, and rapping dinosaurs. And trying to cuff a giant panda is laughable

That's what privilege is good for. I'm a middle-aged white born citizen who walks with a cane. The optics of detaining me in public when we've got folks with cameras on every corner are pretty s*****, which is why I need to be out there.

ICE pulled GUNS on 3 people in the Rogers Park area today.

In just a single Chicago neighborhood today, ICE went after
rapid responders, "pulling guns on at least three people and arresting one volunteer."

We don't know how many people they took. The last update I got from a source I trust was between three and six, and they weren't even entirely sure about that range. ICE was also far more aggressive with our rapid responders today, pulling guns on at least three people and arresting one volunteer.

Both of those vehicles are known to neighborhood verifiers and that crew in the black vehicle have been noted as being particularly aggressive to observers

The church seems well covered, there's at least 50 people there. Due to mobility issues I asked to be parked somewhere where I can sit and observe so I've been placed at the Northbound 22 bus stop at Morse and clark. I see folks with whistles on every corner and said hi to the street vendor

Chicago: Avondale! 60618! A neighbor has created a community altar at the Shell station on the south east corner of Belmont and Milwaukee - a memorial to human rights and victims of ICE. I added to it and you should too. Let's make it massive and impossible to miss. Bring your offerings.

Masked and armed agents confirmed inside. EXERCISE CAUTION. The agents approached and threatened someone who was following them. If you are low risk, please get out on the street on Clark and Ridge to watch for ICE activity and protect your neighbors.
