Reconciliation only comes from accountability. We let the past actions go once there are consequences for those actions. Prosecute to the full extent and then say move on. Unless it is stomped on with the full weight of law, it will come back even worse.

The previous system flawed & awful was functioning w/ some processes. To prevent this shit a new more bureaucratic immigration legal system will be created, to stop the Exec from doing this again will plant the seeds for the next generation of xenophobes to use to inflame anti-immigration fears.
Not surprisingly, 70% of ICE deportees had no criminal convictions and again, nearly 43% did not even have criminal charges. Again, the fact that the US doesn't let people answer for the charges against them shows utter contempt for due process and the rule of law.
