Neither the Mariners nor the Brewers have ever won a World Series. If they both win in the Companionship Series, it'll be the first time two World Series opponents were both looking for their first ring since 1920 when Cleveland beat Brooklyn.

What's wild is the simple solution is just . . . don't go to Brewers games when the Cubs are in town. As I noted in my own thread, my family stopped going to Twins games when the Brewers were in town. And it was fine! But he's very hardcore I guess. Okay then.🤷‍♀️

I think it's generally bad to lump all fans of teams together like they're all one way. (I know some folks were jerks when I expressed sympathies to Yankees fans as if all things Yankees are bad and come on now.)

I've had good & bad experiences with fans of every team by now I think. 🤷‍♀️

Will we see a Brewers-Mariners World Series? The reason the Mariners exist is because of the Brewers — who began life in Seattle as the Pilots and were sold to a Milwaukee ownership group just weeks before the 1970 season began: sabr.org/journal/arti...

Oh no, I just remembered that decades ago my family stopped going to Twins games when the Brewers were in town because Brewers fans were so frequently drunk & rude what if I'm becoming that guy (I am not). (I know some excellent Brewers fans! Hi!) (Also there are drunk & rude Twins fans too.)

I haven't actually gone to any Twins games on the road. My folks did! And it's funny to me that the post is from a Brewers fan given the worst time my folks had was at a game in Milwaukee when people were horrible to them. But that's just how it goes sometimes, you don't write everyone off forever.

What in the wide world of sports did I just read? A thread that included the bit I have a screenshot of:

I see going to root for the road team at a game like going to someone's house for dinner and hoping they set off the smoke alarm making the food and get into a family fight. You're hoping your hosts have a bad time. That just seems rude to me.

This is the first year since 2018 in which no wild-card team reached the LCS round. It is just the second time since 2012, when MLB added two wild cards, that the LCS round will include just division champs.

I dunno if the game being on broadcast TV meant more eyeballs were on it, but I like to think so. Should've been an easier to find game than most.
