A long-delayed Roquefort update: he's in our house now! My partner Chris managed to entice him inside with food. He seemed pretty happy to come in and explore, but is a little nonplussed to now find himself trapped inside...
A black and white cat, sat on the inside of a windowsill. The window has been recently installed and the wall around is not yet plastered, there are tools and building equipment surrounding the area.

The use of AI to marionette a woman whose tortured existence was spent trying to carve her own life and identity out of the space men forced her into is both damningly macabre and a surprisingly perfect encapsulation of the problems with this ghoulish use of technology.

Don't forget to check the sale bin on your way out! You can sometimes get a real bargain on ex-display, lightly used, or end-of-season mental health

Ooh, one mental health for me please!

Asked to respond to claims that a cat could be silly or distinguished but not both, Roquefort simply commented "skill issue".
A black and white cat lying on a grey carpet, one paw extended in front of him, looking distinguished af.

With apologies to @catsofyore.bsky.social for ripping off this all-time classic tweet about the dear, departed Fergus ❤️

Someone just reminded me that Fergus was the subject of this tweet years ago that turned into a minorly viral meme. So if you do an image search for 'big strong man tiny potato boy' right now all the top results are Fergus. 🥹
Screenshot of a tweet by me dated 2022. There is a photo of my brown tuxedo. tabby Fergus and the text reads "Fraud alert: local woman makes conflicting statements about her cat, claiming he both a big strong man and a tiny potato boy"

FRAUD ALERT: Local woman makes conflicting statements about her cat, claiming he is both a "distinguished gentleman" and a "silly little guy".
Roquefort, a black and white cat, curled in his side. He is looking at the camera upside down, with his front paws curled inwards in what I like to call "silly bunny" position.

Omg I hadn't even read the alt text! Perfection indeed 🥰

This cat has definitely tied some ladies to some train tracks in his time 😻

I found a 19th century Cat Villain!
A huge chonk of a fluffy cat sitting on a table near an open fire. The cat is cream and grey and appears to be shaped like a barrel in a fur coat. They are scowling fiercely with their moustache and bewhiskered ears apparently flowing back into the cold wind. There's a definite vibe that this villainous cat twirls their moustache as they evict orphans into the aforementioned blizzard and think Scrooge was an easy-going lightweight. They are magnificent.

Honestly I can't even be cross, it was so skillfully done 😼

Further evidence that Roquefort knows how to be a house cat: scammed a double dinner out of us last night! Chris fed him while I was busy elsewhere. The Roquestar wolfed it down then half an hour later came to find me, wailing his plaintive "feed me" cry and got an extra feed 🤣

He really is 🥰 If he'll tolerate a collar, I'm going to get him one with a little bow tie 🧐
woodsiegirl.bsky.social
I can't explain why, but it just suited him 🧀

Reverse Highlander rules. There can be many Best Cat 😻
woodsiegirl.bsky.social
Huh, well this is awkward. I can't deny on this photographic evidence that Jack Horatio Ignatiuos is clearly Best Cat, but how can this be when Roquefort is also Best Cat?? Unless... *taps earpiece* Yep, I'm now hearing that in fact, all cats are Best Cat! 🥳
woodsiegirl.bsky.social
Amazing really, how many cats are Best Cats! 🥰
woodsiegirl.bsky.social
Aren't cats great? We're so lucky, our first cat was Samson who was the best cat. We couldn't believe our luck, of all the cats we could have adopted, we got the best one! Now Roquefort is here, and you'll never believe it, he is also the best cat! What are the odds?? 😻
Roquefort, the best little black and white cat. I say little, he is also a chonky boy.

My boss: so how's our fourth quarter looking?

Me, the sales manager at the company that makes inflatable frog suits: well, you're never going to believe this, but
woodsiegirl.bsky.social
Well that seems perfectly reasonable, I hope you complied?

As someone else pointed out, notwithstanding anything else, this hero has at a stroke reclaimed amphibians for progressives from fucking Pepe.

Shout out to all my fellow arts and humanities graduates in the UK with our rip off degrees- many of us may not be the biggest earners but I would argue have generally been considerably better contributors to society than vast majority of the Tory party.
