I'll be the first to admit that I was part of the group that pretended Biden's low approvals didn't matter, but we did get to a time when it absolutely did and eventually it will matter for Trump as well

My map of qualifying SB 79 bus stops in San Diego city. I dont count HOV lanes and other bus lanes were not major transit stops. Any San Diegans concur??

it's unacceptable that CA treats the Roseville third track as a "maybe next decade we'll be done and can have a few more trains there" project when that whole part of the Sacramento metro should have all day service to the Bay Area right now

the crown jewel of CBS News is the post-NFL Sunday 60 Minutes, and keeping that is not guaranteed. The NFL is hinting that they will open up those contracts again in a few years, streamers want those rights and it's not guaranteed Paramount can keep up with Google, Amazon or Netflix

I think fans of all 30 teams have the right to want their team to develop, retain their homegrown talent and to field competitive rosters. They do not have the right for every team to be able to win free agency and that's what these complaints are about.

Trying to make the Dodgers-Brewers matchup part of the larger battle between MLB owners and MLB players is weak. Large payrolls don't guarantee success on the field, let alone championships. There's 3 postseason teams from the bottom half of payrolls and 3 top 10 teams that didn't even make it.

It's all private islands/compounds, private jets and private group chats.

A student on TikTok has been documenting her journey with a professor who “wrote” the anatomy textbook and it’s all a bunch of AI hallucinations.

She’s saying that, understandably, the students are doing super poorly!

Behold what we’re teaching the healthcare professionals of tomorrow:

A diagram of the bones and (some) deep muscles of the hand and forearm. AI says that we only have four digits. It’s also identified a tendon as the median nerve, another tendon as the ulnar nerve, among other issues.

An AI generated diagram of the muscles of the neck. It hallucinated the “ennocleidomasid” muscle, and the “anterior scalpalin muscle”.

An AI generated diagram of the muscles of the lateral thigh. It says that the gluteus Maximus (the big juicy butt muscle) is on the anterior side. It also points to the quadriceps muscle and says “attattment”. It also says that the same structure is the tibia AND the deep fascia of the leg.

An AI generated diagram of the bones of the hand and forearm. This time AI says we have 6 digits. It also says that the radius is the ulnar artery. Among other many issues.

Based on this map, I really don't think it covers enough of the Westside, even considering the Purple Line Extension coming. Losing the rapid bus routes that the previous SB827/50 transit zoning bills included hurts more than in SF

Reminder: you fix the CA housing crisis by removing limits on apartment construction in Westside SF, Westside LA and the Peninsula flats. Other stuff (building codes, condo defects) matters too, but this is the first step

As much as SB79 is just going to be the stick that gets the Family Zoning Plan passed in SF, and as underwhelming it will be in LA, the Peninsula will be where it does the most good
