THE CONJURING : LAST RIGHTS (2025) is more of the same for the series. Strange but uninteresting narrative choices, same jump scares as the previous and a total wet blanket of an ending. Hopefully that’s the nail in the coffin for this franchise as it’s run its course into the ground #31daysofhorror

SIMON: What?
SHAPIRO: ...Or saying...
SIMON: You imagine that?
SHAPIRO: ...Boy, if that had existed, it would have screwed me over.
SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.

Changed it up a little and saw BLOOD: THE LAST VAMPIRE (2000) for the first time. Animation has held up well and it’s very much a product of its time in content. I do enjoy how it just drops you into the story and doesn’t really get too into explaining its world during the run time #31daysofhorror

Remember, this is how much it has cooked people’s brains after like one year. Think of what 10 years of this will do. Think of the brains of kids who will grow up not only unable to spot AI but unable to understand “real” and “AI generated” as two different concepts.

HISTORY OF THE OCCULT (2020) is such a unique and moody little movie where the horror has already happened and may be happening again. Really didn’t know much going on and was gripped by the premise and execution here. I’m going to be checking out Cristian Ponce’s other work now #31daysofhorror

Was really captivated by Jeremy Childs performance in THE DEAD CENTER (2018) where he plays the villain, the victim and a manic vessel all in one. Thought it really did a lot with a little and was intriguing all the way through. Shame Carruth turned out the way he did.
