Changed it up a little and saw BLOOD: THE LAST VAMPIRE (2000) for the first time. Animation has held up well and it’s very much a product of its time in content. I do enjoy how it just drops you into the story and doesn’t really get too into explaining its world during the run time #31daysofhorror

Remember, this is how much it has cooked people’s brains after like one year. Think of what 10 years of this will do. Think of the brains of kids who will grow up not only unable to spot AI but unable to understand “real” and “AI generated” as two different concepts.

HISTORY OF THE OCCULT (2020) is such a unique and moody little movie where the horror has already happened and may be happening again. Really didn’t know much going on and was gripped by the premise and execution here. I’m going to be checking out Cristian Ponce’s other work now #31daysofhorror

Was really captivated by Jeremy Childs performance in THE DEAD CENTER (2018) where he plays the villain, the victim and a manic vessel all in one. Thought it really did a lot with a little and was intriguing all the way through. Shame Carruth turned out the way he did.

Changing up and watched THANKSGIVING (2023). Some inventive kills and a unique looking killer is mostly what you need for a solid slasher flick and this has both. Story starts off strong but the pay off wasn’t super satisfying and far too many of the main cast make it through the chaos

THE MEDIUM (2021) has been on my list for a wee bit as I saw it get dropped a lot in people’s spooky reccs. I love a found footage mockumetary. This one is a slow burner, really relies on you connecting with the family at the heart. Luckily Utoomma is great in this and the ending is very memorable

Watched PULGASARI (1985) today. Maybe more memorable for the story of its production than the film itself, it’s still an interesting monster movie with a lot more of Daimajin in it that Godzilla and a cool design too
