I like the SE and the home button. If I have to learn an entire new phone paradigm anyway, I might as well get decent gameplay.

Game mode itself doesn’t matter. It’s the constant, inescapable notifications that block the heads up display that are so bad. Protip: blocking the hud degrades gameplay.

Anyway if the next time I need a phone they are no longer making the SE, I will seriously consider switching to Android.

You cannot turn Game mode on and leave it on. You cannot turn it off and leave it off. No, every fucking time your game (re)starts you get a notification that blocks the game.

And Apple tells you this is for the benefit of you and your game.

This is basic ui.

Apple’s Game Mode is the stupidest thing ever and I wish I could burn it with fire.

There is a notification that you CANOT TURN OFF that comes up EVERY TIME YOU OPEN and HALF THE TIME YOU SWITCH TO your game and IT BLOCKS THE HUD ON YOUR GAME.

Every fucking time. Assholes.
