We can't say White Americans need to fix this mess, then criticize how they fix the mess. Black Americans should stay out of it and let them clean up while we concentrate on ourselves and our communities.

Add to this groceries being significantly higher this year to go along with this shutdown with end in sight….

Mayo Nation is about to be dealing with a mess of their own making.

Happy Thanksgiving.
This may need to happen to wake people up. They're thinking Juan Valdez and Shenaynay Jenkins are the ones using up SNAP/EBT because it goes under a different name. Troy and Emily in Virginia will wake up on Nov 1 with nothing on their Cardinal Card and all I've got to say is

Also, the inflatable costumes are actually a good idea because they protect people's identities and ICE/US Military/Trump look real dumb worldwide trying to beat up and arrest unicorns, frogs, sharks and dinosaurs.

White Nationalists upset about the lack of diversity? It's like every group photo released from the WH showing lack of diversity. GTFOH.
Laughing at the White Nationalists asking where were the Black and Brown protestors and confused at the lack of diversity. They are big mad that their fellow whites aren’t not falling in line and we were protecting our peace.

@desia.bsky.social and I talked about this on our live Friday.

The thing about "immigration" as a political issue is that its boundaries are very poorly defined. 'Stop the boats' or 'reduce net in-migration' seem rather straightforward, but these concrete policies never reach its real motivating core, which is always & everywhere rancid, hateful xenophobia.
Apropos of nothing, I really do think UK journalists and politicians need some reminding that mass deportation of LEGAL immigrants, particularly those with permanent status, is far more extreme than even Trump's America and would basically place Britain completely on its own among democracies.

What I mean by that is, Arquette walks the fine line between the extremes we usually encounter in true crime docudramas. She makes room to be honest about Maggie's role as a permissive enabler of the horrible men in her life. And that makes her a depressingly familiar figure.

Took me a minute to figure out why watching "Murdaugh: Death in the Family" is an unpleasant experience, but it soon became clear why. The answer is in Patricia Arquette's psychologically spot-on portrayal of Maggie Murdaugh. www.salon.com/2025/10/16/w...

I think this is very much the case in UK media and the big political parties.
The thing they don’t want to voice is that racism is authenticity to them.

Be aware that the DHS account in particular is known to quote dunk on regular people to encourage their followers to harass them.

The detach quote function will come in very handy here…

This is a profound insight. Few linguistic and discursive concepts are so profoundly infused with racism and classism as honesty, sincerity, authenticity, and transparency. The lower on the hierarchical ladder, the more likely you are judged to be preternaturally dishonest.
