Here for political sanity. Since we currently have no way to rein in the radical right media silos of propaganda & lies, this craziness is going to last way past Trump. So strap in.

If Machado was trying to convince Trump that she was a strong leader who could handle Maduro’s thugs while keeping the oil flowing, giving Trump her prize was the exact opposite way to do that. What an epic fail allowing herself to be used like that by the charlatan.

Periodic reminder that, when you’re the president, the words you say matter.

He told the Iranian people help was on the way and to keep protesting.

Now he’s come up with some fantasy that the regime has decided to stop killing people (they haven’t) and backed off.

The right: stop calling us Nazis

Joe Rogan: this is some Gestapo bullshit.
Rogan: "You don't want militarized people in the streets just roaming around, snatching up people — many of which turn out to be U.S. citizens that just don't have their papers on them. Are we really gonna be the Gestapo, 'Where's your papers?' Is that what we've come to?"

Know what’s fucking insane?

Our NATO allies are sending troops to Greenland to defend against a possible US invasion.

I know this administration doesn’t understand anything about anything, but the US is not self-sufficient enough to thrive in an interconnected world on our own.

Same. That’s standard operating procedure, right?
Whenever I am bleeding internally after being hit by a car I keep filming on my cell
phone while briskly walking away from the scene without waiting for medical attention. What about you guys?
BREAKING: The ICE agent who fatally shot Renee Good last week in Minneapolis, Jonathan Ross, suffered internal bleeding to the torso following the incident, according to two U.S. officials briefed on his medical condition.

two (2) dolls
five (5) pencils

one (1) "piece" of broccoli
one (1) corn tortilla
one (1) other thing (?)

I mean, are we great again OR WHAT 🤡

I also thought his cronies would make a faster and more competent run at shutting down our institutions, which they seemed to be doing in the first months and now seems to be blowing up in their faces
My guess is that Tom had the same worry that I did:

He'd coast on Biden's economy and consolidate power with the moderates and independents. The most dangerous authoritarians aren't the ones who take everything: they're the ones who give you something.

He's incapable of understanding that lesson.

This. What you’re seeing now is panic and weakness and chaos.
Trump is surfing the buzz of bombing and invading and threatening, but things are not going his way; he wants ICE to freak people out. (It is. But not the way he hopes.)
His escalations are due to his weakness and declining support. And they will only accelerate his decline.
Does anybody think his Minnesota Shitshow is going to swing things back his way and boost his approval ratings?

Yeah as much as I hate Trump, the states run elections and maybe he can say no elections and some red states will say yes, but we don't really have another method to get legitimate leaders. Even Russia and Iran have "elections".

Sauron's cohorts are doing their dead-level best to gin up a violent reaction to their bullshit.
This is appalling: Top DOJ officials are actively pushing for a criminal investigation into the widow of Renee Good, leading prosecutors to quit en masse, NYT is reporting.

Who in the White House ordered DOJ to do this? That's the next thing to establish.

Trump also claimed US economy is "hottest country anywhere in the world." Markets suggest otherwise.
Stock markets in the U.S. are up ~16% since he took office. Not bad, for sure, but markets everywhere else in the world are up ~DOUBLE that

I can't imagine anything worse these days than a brainwashed MAGA running anything that has anything to do with health care, so good riddance Jayden Scott.
His name is Jayden Scott of Bay City.

The company is Harmony Investment Group of Troy.
A video circulating online shows a Michigan man shouting, “We executed one of you yesterday” at an anti-ICE protest in Minneapolis — the day after a mother of three was fatally shot in the head by an immigration agent in Minnesota.
