The way our constitutional republic works is that the supreme court is supposed to strike down actions by the executive when they perform an act that is exclusively granted to congress in the constitution. Whether it is a "signature policy" is irrelevant. bsky.app/profile/atru...

Do these GOP legislators assume their constituents are so uninformed that actually BUY this nonsense, or are they so confident that their voters are safely cocooned in right-wing media echo chamber and will never hear the real facts?

No, that makes them uninsured.

Dems should promise not only to prosecute the Trump family for enriching themselves at the expense of the country but also to use the tools of government to seize the wealth they’ve illegally accrued during his presidential terms.

Since Trump is running the Orban playbook (only faster), you might let your MAGA family & friends know what's coming:
Once perceived to be wealthiest country in Central Europe, Hungary now one of the poorest countries in the EU. Industrial production falling year-over-year. Productivity close to lowest in region. Unemployment creeping upward. Perceived as the most corrupt in the EU for three years in a row.
In honor of Viktor Orban's visit to Washington, here's a reminder that Orban has made his country corrupt, stagnant, and impoverished:

When Trump wants to pardon a drug trafficker, befriend a terrorist, or praise a dictator because they did something to benefit him personally, when confronted with their past crimes he always either minimizes them or claims that they were treated unfairly. While Republicans just go along with it.
