Important point - actual bad criminals were often already in custody before this started.
Several of the 13 “worst of the worst” criminals that the Department of Homeland Security said were arrested in Minnesota through its immigration enforcement operation were actually handed over to ICE by state prisons before Operation Metro Surge began.

I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

There's no actual law enforcement strategy for ICE's operations. That is, identified and confirmed suspects, probable cause to arrest using the least force possible, sent to a judicial system where suspects receive due process.

Senate Democrats absolutely have to shut the govt down to stop this ICE insanity in the Twin Cities. This is not sustainable & cannot be normalized. Any Democratic vote to provide money to the thugs who are brutalizing this community is a grave betrayal to the people here. Accountability can't wait.
