So much of contemporary discourse is plagued by “it’s your fault for telling me I’m wrong in a way that made me feel bad,” when being wrong is supposed to feel bad.

Just once I want a Frankenstein adaptation that makes the Creature properly uncomfortable to look at. I’m sure GDT’s film is great and I’m still going to watch and enjoy it, but the makeup design on Elordi still leaves him human and attractive enough that viewer identification isn’t a challenge.
