About a month ago, the Trump administration got rid of the de minimis exemption, whereby packages valued under $800 could slide in without import duties. Now there's a backlog as the government can't process all of this paperwork, leading to UPS just destroying packages

Everyone involved in this prosecution should be disciplined for violating whatever their state's equivalent of MPRC Rule 3.8 is. As far as I know, every state has such an equivalent. (In Florida, it's Rule 4-3.8.)

There is zero reason why an immediate-relative visa application should take years to process. All they need to do is confirm that the facts as alleged in the application are true to a reasonable degree of certainty, at which point they issue the green card

If it was truly _every time_ then I wouldn't live in a county that has had trans protections since before 2000 (when I moved here) and a state that has had them since 2006. There's a reason I live where I do.
