Alright here is my Halloween 2025 project in entirety.
It's funny that Shimoneta, Gatchaman Crowds insight, and Prison School called the next decade, but they also all aired in the same season. Simultaneously.

Here's mine again. Happy to see the overlap in the articles which means they are both correct and good and perfect.

It always sucks when you get random engagement from something you post here and it's almost certainly a bot miming engagement because you said some keyword.

Thinking about the contrast of Rorty's ironism with the kind of irony poisoning of the modern internet milieu.

Have you ever once seen the New York Times quote Trump like this?
February 16, 2026 at 6:24 PM
Comedy central used to run Saturday night live reruns. I saw a 1991 episode where they were doing a democratic debate about which candidate wanted to lose to the supremely popular George H. W. Bush and the gimmick was everyone was like "not me! Let so and so lose"

This took off while I was napping, I guess. I used Umberto Eco, Erich Fromm, Wilhelm Reich and others to construct a grand theory of fascism and figured out how Hajime pokes holes in it.
February 16, 2026 at 2:07 PM
According to Wilhelm Reich's character armor theory of fascism, even Hajime's dancing and spinning around is significant. You may say, but isn't Wilhelm Reich crazy? Yes. But it's interesting Gatchaman Crowds has that in there.

Just found out about a fanfic wherein John Brown is Isekai'd into a standard harem-anime fantasy setting, becomes outraged at all the slavery this entails, so launches a holy war on all these slavers in his newfound environment. My only concern is the story can't possibly be as good as the premise.

Uh,
About one of the Trump accusers in this piece:

“The interview [with the alleged victim and her attorney] was conducted July 24, 2019, and entered into the FBI’s case files on August 9, the day before Epstein was found dead in his jail cell.”

I would have bought this argument in 2015-18 or so but no state has digested pure maga psychosis so greedily and spewed it everywhere in geysers of projectile nazi diarrhea as this godawful state. I'd take chuds from any of the other 49 states over the maga piss babies in the lone star state.
Honestly? Texas.

They may not always have the right vocabulary but it seems like most of them are happy to live and let live as long as you don't trespass on their land.

Gavin Newsom, on the other hand, is a fucking snake.

My Ooku piece raises the interesting question, I suppose, if patriarchy with women is basically just the propagation form of feudal property. So you can sex swap the gender roles. The prime mover is still impossible to guess.

Here is like the part 1 of my Ooku piece. I need to go back and rewatch it to get specific examples but after a year of study I finally have a theoretical framework to look at the show with.

I talk about Gatchaman Crowds insight but you know what probably looks visionary now? Prison School. Authoritarianism is just gender? Say it ain't so.

Everyone makes fun of the incel "government redistribution of girlfriends" proposal but the state did in fact force women to marry mediocre men by not letting them have a bank account or own property in their name and they don't have to take us that many steps backwards to get there.

Gatchaman Crowds insight predicted things we didn't even realize it predicted in 2015. Things it didn't even realize it predicted. Just bonus prophecy by accident.
among the gaggle of other civic issues that Insight covers with a prescient sharpness, it's extra unbelievable that it has the called shot of ai chatbots, both in function and extent/speed of proliferation
