Hi Bluesky! Wanted my first post to be an updated Media Kit, and I finally did it! :) Hi there! I'm Pat! If you like Final Fantasy, JRPGs, chill/chatty vibes, & achievement hunting - come say hi on Twitch!
A one-page streamer media kit for ActorPat. The top of the page has a photo of Pat, a late 30's white male. He has a shaved head, blue eyes, and is wearing a dark red shirt, while holding up a peace sign.

The page explains that his Twitch channel has 2.5k+ followers, and averages 40-50 viewers per stream. The text reads: "A chill, chatty streamer with a focus on Final Fantasy, JRPGs, and 100%-ing games." They have 130+ Perfect Games on Steam.

The middle of the page shows the cover art for various video games, explaining that Pat has recently played "Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom", and "Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth"; that they're currently playing "Final Fantasy 3 3D", and "Stardew Valley"; and in the near future will be playing "Lunar Remastered Collection", and "Fields of Mistria".

The lower part of the page showcases logos of companies Pat has had a sponsorship or partnership with: Square Enix, Graffiti Games, Xbox Game Studios, Raw Fury, Thunderful, Xsolla, LurkIt, Terminals.io, Keymailer, and Odencat. It also mentions Pat hosts an annual raid train, with their previous one raising over $10K for the World Wildlife Fund.

Lastly, on the bottom of the page there is text that says "Interested in working together? DM me! I'm 'ActorPat' on socials or Discord!'".

Anything I miss? Please feel free to share your tips, tricks, and advice!

14) Most important for last! - Have fun. :) Yes, there can be problems/drama, yes there can be anxiety and nerves, but ultimately, TwitchCon is about celebrating getting to nerd out with friends about things we love. Enjoy time with your crowd. <3

13) Last but not least, DON'T wait to follow-up w/those you network with, particularly sponsors/businesses. If the game dev or energy drink or whatever thing you like says "reach out and remind us we talked here", do that ASAP, because others will beat you to it otherwise.
actorpat.bsky.social
12) You're gonna be walking a lot, talking a lot, getting a lack of sleep, eating poorly, & possibly drinking. HAVE WATER. And also, conventions can be overwhelming. Don't be afraid to take some time away in a quiet spot to sit down & lower the overstimulation.
actorpat.bsky.social
11) For safety, consider only posting pictures/stories to socials AFTER whatever events (or even just after the con entirely), so that people outside your group cannot track what you are doing.
actorpat.bsky.social
10) Streamers - have a media kit one-sheet made, like my pinned comment. Have a QR code link to it on your phone/biz cards, so when networking or talking w/ potential sponsors/partnerships you have an easy stat sheet to show them & so you remember what to pitch about yourself.

9) If you've been a streamer on Twitch for more than a few months, you -probably- already know anything they might teach you at the panels. Panels are enjoyable, but don't get FOMO if you miss any "educational" ones, it's overwhelmingly info you already know. Meetups > Panels.
actorpat.bsky.social
8) There's TONS of parties/events, & numerous opportunities to drink. WATCH YOUR DRINKS. Watch your friends' drinks. Protect each other. Better yet, just don't drink in public and only do so in a safe environment with trusted company (it's cheaper anyway).
actorpat.bsky.social
7) PLEASE respect people's boundaries. Don't assume you can hug, high-five, or get super close to people. Give people space, and if they offer to initiate, then you can reciprocate.
actorpat.bsky.social
6) Ideally always have a buddy for safety, but it's ok to break off from a group! If you're super excited for a panel/meetup, but your group is not, GO ANYWAY if missing it will make you upset. Just make sure you have some sort of check-in system so you can keep each other safe.

5) Those going in groups, make it clear to all that getting separated happens. Miscommunications, huge crowds, surprise situations - things happen! 99% of the time, getting separated is not intentional. Your friend didn't ditch you. Plan how to stay in touch and regroup.
actorpat.bsky.social
4) Related to 2&3, streamers owe you absolutely nothing, regardless of how much time or $ you spend on their channel. Hopefully they DO want to interact w/ their community. But you are not entitled to their time, affection, or whatever else. Don't be upset if they don't offer it.
actorpat.bsky.social
3) If you're the type to crush on streamers, THEY DON'T WANT TO DATE YOU. TC is not your opportunity to "shoot your shot" or "get senpai to notice me". Please assume that everyone is happily taken & wants nothing but a chill, platonic interaction w/ you (if that).
actorpat.bsky.social
2) Getting to meet someone does NOT mean getting to hang out w/ them. Don't attend TC to try to "hang out" w/a streamer (if not pre-planned w/ them). Assume you'll maybe get to say hey, -maybe- take a pic w/ them, then leave them alone. Don't assume you can tag along w/ them.
actorpat.bsky.social
1) Streamers typically don't know who you are. If you say hi to someone at TC, always clearly identify yourself w/ your Twitch username, & don't be upset if their memory falters recalling you while in a new environment w/a face they don't know, & no chat history to look at.

TwitchCon PSA (a thread)! TC is a very fun event, but it does have some issues because of the possible parasocial problems that come with the streaming territory. Please keep the following points in mind! (This is more geared towards "viewers" but also fellow streamers.)

Anti-AI Streamer Friends - Duolingo recently laid off 10% of its contract workers to replace w/ AI. They currently have a "Rewards" campaign (NOT "Drops") on Twitch. You can disable this reward on your channel under Creator Dashboard-> Viewer Rewards -> Rewards -> Select Duolingo -> Turn switch off.

Double vax'd up on a Tuesday afternoon. (With a Tylenol chaser.)

Got a Covid vax boost, & general flu shot. Not only are you protecting yourself when you get vaccines, but those that are most vulnerable around you!

Wellness as a form of resistance!
A selfie of Pat smiling, showing two band-aids on his arm where he got two vaccines. He is also cheekily holding a bottle of generic Tylenol.

Remember - Left, Right, & in between: the enemy is unchecked capitalism, & those that crush the working class for personal gain. They WANT us fighting each other instead of fighting what they're making: an inescapable technocratic, oligarchic, theocratic surveillance ethnostate.

Hey all! FINAL DAY of voting (til 5p Pacific)! I spent two months on a PvP Survival Minecraft server as part of @girlypopsmp.bsky.social! Our theme was "Theme Park", so I did my take on the Gold Saucer from FF7 & FF14. Consider voting for me for "Best Build"! tinyurl.com/girlypopSMP-...

It’s sad that the discussion around pornography is always framed as “it’s potentially harmful.” It’s also potentially healthy? What did you learn about yourself, your body, your gender, your preferences, your boundaries and your self expression through the smut you consume?

Funny how when it comes to AI people are all "adapt or be left behind" but when it comes to remote work the same people insist that things must go back to how they were at all cost.
