It's Wednesday and you know what that means... fud about AEW being spread online. Grand Slam has always been a tv special for AEW, like that's the gimmick. But I'm very curious why any AEW "fan" would complain about getting Mariah vs Toni & Ospreay/Omega vs Takeshita/Fletcher.
The top post on SquaredCircle this morning is that AEW hoodwinked fans into buying tickets for a PPV and it's just an episode of Collision.
To my knowledge, AEW never billed Grand Slam as a PPV? I'm not gonna defend $700 ticket prices, but they definitely never said it was a PPV, I don't think.

The part everyone forgets about Cody Rhodes Solves Racism ~5 yrs later is his initial response to the criticism was that he actually focus grouped the promo to get it right.
Then a few days later he got pressed on it and admitted he didn't know what a focus group was and just ran it by his friends.

I also noted the jump wouldn’t have killed me, I’d have just been physically harmed forever. IT WAS THAT BAD
