i think this MLK day the thing to focus on is the strategic focus and tactical brilliance of the civil rights movement and the way it was laser focused on a set of achievable goals

We seem to have normalised the Premier League's inability to conclude the Manchester City case. The years this thing has taken is pathetic. The longer it has taken the more people have forgotten the magnitude of the alleged offences. Time passing has had a kind of watering down affect on allegations

To my fellow whites:

Instead of sharing the same MLK quotes that the Brands will post today, try to be inspired by Dr. King's work and reflect on biases you might still be carrying, despite your best intentions, today.

There are so many things that have to be done but we have to make sure, “outlaw all privately run and for-profit prisons, detention facilities.” These absolutely need to be illegal.
Camp East Montana, is a $1.24 billion privately operated immigration detention facility funded by taxpayers. There are reports of a lack of access to medication and more. This facility needs to shut down.

Every time the Trump regime uses the words "funded protesters" and "outside agitators" news outlets need to cut to this photo from last week.

ICE has invaded these communities. Outside agitators don't show up in their fucking bathrobes.

Flashbangs burn hotter then lava.

They've caused serious burns, severed hands, and even killed.

*That's* what ICE just tossed into a car full of kids.

Planes, trains and automobiles but Philly, I’m coming for you.

Who else is at or heading to the United Soccer Coaches’ convention?

Sure, it’s the same state…but that’s like 300 miles. That would be like DC United playing a Concacaf Champions Cup game in Raleigh, North Carolina. (DCU haven’t played in regional competitions for a long time now, but you get my point.)
With Lumen Field unavailable while undergoing preparations to host the World Cup this summer, Seattle Sounders announce they will host second leg of Concacaf Champions Cup round of 16 vs Vancouver or Cartagines in Spokane (eastern Washington).

All you had to do was raise the cap. Let your ambitious teams utilize the additional space, flexibility, your less ambitious teams get pressure from supporters & media for being less ambitious. You didn’t want those owners found out so you tried to be cute but NWSLPA is too well led to rubber stamp.
Inbox: The @nwslplayers.bsky.social has officially filed a grievance challenging NWSL's High Impact Player rule.

FIFA’s peace prize scam pays off
The Supreme Court sets aside lower court decisions upholding convictions for bribery related to the FIFA scandal because the Trump administration decided to dismiss those criminal cases "in the interests of justice." The FIFA prosecution ends in a whimper. www.supremecourt.gov/orders/court...

Only redeeming thing about this game is that Phallon played well, but shit last 180 minutes at the Emirates to have both the men and women go 0-0 at home against rivals. Ugh 🫤

Just not good enough.

How can you not love the Cup competitions?!? This is awesome and with everything that’s wrong in the game, today’s FA Cup match that leads to the departure of the Cup holders is everything that’s right about it. On the day anything can happen, because it’s the Cup.
It finishes Macclesfield 2, Crystal Palace 1. It's the biggest upset in FA Cup history. 117 league places between the two teams is the biggest gap overcome. Macclesfield are a semi-pro National League North team (sixth-tier), Premier League Palace are the current holders. #FACup #footy-live
Macclesfield now 2-0 up vs Palace. Would be one of the biggest upsets in FA Cup history due to the gap between the two teams in the league pyramid. More significant still as Palace are the current cup holders.

It does fall on IFAB to make a change if you’re going to get it out of the game.

It’s harkens back to the Denmark men in Euro ‘92 as the impetus for the backpass law change which became a net positive for the game.
You just change the rules to state that players can't go en masse over to the sidelines. It would soon stamp it out.

I don't blame any team for taking advantage, but it's the rules that need to be changed and it's not like it's anything new.
