When the CDC quietly rewrote its vaccine–autism page, it didn’t just edit a website; it handed anti-vaccine rhetoric a government badge. In this clip, I break down how you destroy public trust in science one asterisk at a time—& why that should terrify anyone who cares about keeping outbreaks at bay.

Why is the head of the world’s preeminent medical science research institute relying on an anonymous, anti-vax, software engineer known only as “Ben” for his COVID epidemiology?

The answer does not bode well for the future of science based medicine.

The CDC just added an asterisk to “Vaccines do not cause autism.” And the explanation behind that asterisk?

Pure, gold-plated bullshit

When a patient tells me about rape, trauma, abuse from a spouse or parent, criminal acts, legal status, abortions, sexual identity, etc., I can choose to enter that into a clinic note or I can use judgment to decide that doing so risks harm, offense, or privacy. AI scribes allow no such discretion.
How is digitally storing a blob of AI generated text a greater risk than storing notes a doctor or an assistant would take? Corporations use AI scribes in high level meetings routinely, wouldn't the precautions they take to protect their IP when using this tech also work for health care?

When science is sidelined, people get hurt. As Louisiana's surgeon general, Ralph Abraham put the lives of children at risk. Now RFK has installed him — and his dangerous anti-science views — as deputy director of CDC.

As patients, we should all explicitly refuse to consent to the use of AI scribes during appointments. Why would we allow our doctors or their employers to record us, store that data, expose it to unknown risk of misuse, and let a doc turn off their brain and have AI listen in their place?

Cutting Medicaid will destabilize our healthcare infrastructure — the most vulnerable will be forced off their coverage, people with insurance will have to pay more, and everyone in between will face hospital closures and a weakened healthcare system. This is a lose-lose situation. #impeachthequack

There is zero evidence that “poppers” cause AIDS.

There is increasing evidence that RFK Jr. causes preventable childhood diseases and deaths.
Twenty five years ago, the emergence of HIV was traced the the 1930’s in a fascinating study.

RFK Jr. thinks that “poppers” cause AIDS.

In don’t think that recreational poppers were in wide circulation in the 1930’s.

But maybe I’m wrong about that.
