It’s infuriating! As a Labour member Burnham MUST have known that he was *disqualified* from standing as a Parliamentary candidate until May 2028 - when his mayoral term ends. So why? This kind of antic is why I did not support him in 2015 when I voted in leadership election!

On my own in the house, so I listened to Verdi Requiem on CD. Haven’t heard it in ages, so it suddenly made me cry. And as I sat there, tears streaming down my face, it reminded me that a good cry is so good for a chap now and again.
