"sophisticated financial engineering" oh that's not good

Here is where the bubble dynamics get complicated. Tech firms don't want to formally take on debt-that is, directly ask investors for loans-because debt looks bad on their balance sheets and could reduce shareholder returns. To get around this, some are partnering with private-equity titans to do some sophisticated financial engineering, Paul Kedrosky, an investor and a financial consultant, told us. These private-equity firms put up or raise the money to build a data center, which a tech company will repay through rent. Data-center leases from, say, Meta can then be repackaged into a financial instrument that people can buy and sell-a bond, in essence. Meta recently did just this: Blue Owl Capital raised money for a massive Meta data center in Louisiana by, in essence, issuing bonds backed by Meta's rent. And multiple data-center leases can be combined into a security and sorted into what are called "tranches" based on their risk of default. Data centers represent an $800 billion market for private-equity firms through 2028 alone.

(Meta has said of its arrangement with Blue Owl that the "innovative partnership was designed to support the speed and flexibility required for Meta's data center projects.

I’m going to “democratize” a thing by giving poor folks a bad approximation of the thing they need.

Novikoff was previously a math teacher in New York City, first in Harlem, and then at a highly rated public school, Stuyvesant High School. In an interview with TechCrunch, he said almost all the students at Stuyvesant received tutoring, whereas many of the students in Harlem didn’t, and the difference in their educational experience was stark.

“[Tutoring] is by far the most effective intervention that can be provided to kids for education, and it’s not even close,” Novikoff said. “It’s really unfair that not everyone gets this opportunity. That’s why I’m pursuing a mission to democratize access to private tutoring.”

So he and his former school didn’t do their jobs but had great results anyway bc parents paid privately to replace the parts they couldn’t deliver and now he decided not to reform the school system, but expand the existing rubbish system…with AI?!

The lot number being recalled is 1835U6325A. The lot number is printed under the flap on the back of the package. I just checked mine purchased from Costco last week (Austin area inTX) & they are not the lot recalled.

Ah, verständlich in Deinem Fall. Wir kochen - wenn überhaupt - eher keine geruchsintensiven Dinge, weil wir das nicht mögen. Essengehen, Lieferdienst und kalte Speisen Zuhause zubereiten ist eher unser Ding. Jeder hat ein eigenes Zimmer mit Bücherwänden. Küche daher so unser Treffpunkt/Wohnzimmer.

Kommt vermutlich auch darauf an, wie oft man kocht (wir eher selten) und wie aufgeräumt man es mag. Bei uns ist eigentlich immer alles aufgeräumt. Wüsste gar nicht, was man in einem abgetrennten Wohnzimmer machen sollte😅 Haben dann den Flügel reingestellt, damit etwas drin stand, das war’s aber auch

Hatte lange nur eine Insel, 3,20 lang. Wand im EG entfernt, so dass die Insel Trennung zwischen Küchen-u. Wohnbereich war. Zum Wohnbereich hin: Geschirr und Sitzecke mit 2 Hochstühlen, zum Küchenbereich hin Kochen, Spülen, Vorräte. War ein Traum, dann leider Umzug in kleinere Stadtwohnung.

Und natürlich sind es Blame Games als klassische Ablenkungsmanöver. Wenn ein Land über störende Migranten im Stadtbild raunt, diskutiert es nicht mehr über fehlende Wohnungen, massiv gestiegene Preise, eine immer weiter aufgehende Schere zwischen den Reichen und dem Rest der Gesellschaft.
