Marketing, writing, dog person, rosé is underrated. Midwestern. Fashion, politics, history, psychology, putting sand in the gears of patriarchy, etc.

Apropos… a piece I wrote with a similar theme.

Some girlfriends tonight said if I was a Sex and the City character, I’d be a Carrie-Charlotte and that feels like an insult tbh

Stupid movie gripe: Dirty martinis that are crystal clear and obviously water.

Sometimes I think about how Paul McCartney said Heather Mills would hear a Beatles song playing when they were in public and innocently turn to him and say, “Paul? That sounds like you!”

There really is a sucker born every day.

New video bears this out.
He didn’t shoot her because he was scared he shot her because she was a woman.

She’s so good at this. Call it what it is, don’t get into semantics of what she did or said or his training or experience, blah blah blah.

Want to live where agents of the state shoot people in the face or not?
AOC: “I understand that VP Vance believes shooting a young mother of three in the face three times is an acceptable America that he wants to live in, & I do not — That is a fundamental difference between VP Vance & I — I do not believe the American people should be assassinated in the street”

Americans, living in a country saturated in violence since its inception, “Why do violent things keep happening?!?”

I’m not being snarky, I just truly don’t know how we fix it. I guess the ol’ “be nice to people around you and hope it spreads.” ?

Human brains feed off of negativity. Negative thoughts are easily digested and play in a loop in your mind all of the time. The reality, however, is that there is also A LOT OF GOOD happening every single minute. You have to do more work to pay attention to the good but it's worth it.

Today once again proved that everyday citizens protesting their government are braver than the titans who own the largest media corporations, run the biggest law firms and lead the most powerful technology companies.

More humility should be the order of the day. No one really knows how anything will turn out. So you might as well try to do your best and importantly to take constructive action where you can. Nothing else is within your control.

Me, looking around at current day fallen empires, “I dunno, doesn’t seem so bad! England, Japan, France, Italy… I’d be happy living in those. And China is on like comeback #17!”

I know it’s juvenile and naive to want some savior figure to come along and get us out of this, but seeing some examples of… waves hands in the air… possibility(?) would be helpful.

Just a SHRED of leadership or inspiration, as a treat.

Anyone else think he also just wanted a cool photo like of Obama watching the Osama BL mission from the situation room?

The ballroom at MAL with black fabric draping while toppling a sovereign leader was as close as he could get.

In hindsight it was a bad idea to put a child molester with dementia in charge of everything. That’s our bad. That one’s on us

Living in this country feels like being a kid in the back seat of a car while your drunk uncle drives into a tree.

We haven’t been “the good guys” in a long time (arguably… ever). But it’s a strange feeling to bluntly, openly, publicly be “the bad guys.”

Just woke up even angrier. Impeach, convict, remove. Draft articles now. Either we have a representative government or we don’t. Do not shut up about this until there’s a vote.

Why won’t my zoomer kids walk around a store or mall alone? They’re very independent otherwise.

When I was a kid, we all split up and then showed parents which things we wanted to lobbying for later.

Weird.

If you’re astrology-curious like me, here’s the quick version:

January, especially 6-10th (I think?), get shit done, plan plans, lay groundwork, GO!!!
This week on VIBE CHECK, astrologer and friend Chani Nicholas comes back to help us process 2025 and look toward the new year. And she thinks a certain politician won’t live to see the end of August… 👀 open.spotify.com/episode/3xd9...
