everyone’s saying “people are NIMBYs about concentration camps” and yeah, I don’t want a concentration camp in my neighborhood, or anywhere

you know who I don’t mind in my neighborhood?

free immigrants, undocumented or otherwise

The cruelty is astounding
On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

Congratulations, Liz!!!!
This is terrific news! Liz Magill is a great choice to lead Georgetown Law.

Regarding the controversy—Elise Stefanik ambushed Magill at that hearing with the evident goal of smearing her as an antisemite, which she is not (obviously). UPenn's loss is our gain.

BONDI: He does work for us, yes. I believe he was pardoned

NEGUSE: And you expect hard-working police officers to believe you take law enforcement seriously?

That’s a concentration camp. Republicans have been all freaked out about a Democratic administration doing this for years, but the Republicans were the ones planning it all along.
The location, which was built as an Amazon distribution center, was chosen because of its proximity to railroad tracks. It can house up to 10,000 beds (not people -- beds), and will be equipped with a medical incinerator.
A warehouse in south Kansas City could be sold to the federal government to become an ICE detention center. That warehouse, owned by Platform Ventures, had received a $21 million tax incentive from the Port Authority of Kansas City.
